OUR SERVICES

FIRE REPORTS

Required for all Building Consents. Working with design teams to provide fire design advice and compliance for new and existing buildings. Options include compliance to Acceptable Solutions (C/AS2) or Verification Method (CVM2).

CONSTRUCTION MONITORING

Provides independent verification (for both fire engineering and passive fire) that the works have been completed in accordance with consented documentation. This is often a requirement of the fire report and Building Consent Authority.

PASSIVE FIRE SPECIFICATIONS

Required for all Building Consents. The minimum requirement for Building Consent approval, a passive fire specification lists all the requirements and products to be used for fire stopping of building services which penetrate fire separations. It includes protection of structural elements and mechanical services e.g. fire dampers.

PASSIVE FIRE

DESIGN

In addition to the passive fire specification, passive fire design provides the next level of coordination. Working with the design team to highlight potential passive fire issues, providing passive fire details for complex fire separations, and providing a high levels of clash detection for services and fire separations.

FIRE PROTECTION

FIRE SAFETY GAP

ANALYSIS

Includes fire alarm, sprinkler, and fire hydrant designs for new and existing buildings. Also includes options for ongoing inspections and maintenance for existing fire protection systems.

Often used as part of a due diligence survey when buying a new building, these assessments look at the existing fire safety features of a building and compares them to current requirements of the New Zealand Building Code. They cover fire alarm systems, egress routes and fire separations.

FIRE RISK ASSESSMENTS

Used to evaluate the current fire risk level of a building or tenancy. They will highlight existing fire hazards and other fire safety issues and will provide advice on how to remedy them.

FIRE EVACUATION SCHEMES

Includes developing a customised fire evacuation plan, an assembly area plan, design of fire emergency procedure safety signs and an application for submission to FENZ for approval.

FIRE, SMOKE &

EGRSS MODELLING

Simulates how well your building will perform by simulating fire and smoke spread in a 3D model and then cross references this with the egress model to see if occupants can escape without being overcome by fire or smoke. The models can be designed to incorporate existing defects in fire smoke separations for the building to give a truer experience for your building.
